Earlier in the period, work on 30076 focused on the exhaust manifold area, with all studs successfully removed and the majority of threads cleaned out using a tap, allowing preparation for reassembly to continue. November 2025
Work across the month focused on preparing 30075 for final presentation and continuing the methodical overhaul of components from 30076. Early in the month the front of the shelter was adjusted to provide the necessary headroom for 30075 to be moved inside, after which flangeways were cleared and the locomotive was positioned under cover. During October, work continued across locomotives 30075 and 30076 and on the eight-plank wagon, with consistent volunteer attendance and good progress made despite increasingly mixed weather. Early in the month, the wagon floor was completed and corner boards fitted, followed by touch-up painting and lacquer application.
